Week 8

So again your dear author has hit the mid-semester slump in which school just seems to be somewhat less palatable than most of the other weeks. Here are just some interesting bits of late:

Monday night my research methods professor said this phrase without attempting at a joke (quoted directly):
"My fourth grade teacher was like Henry Ford. He made me square dance."

Stephen Colbert is running for president of the United States of America in South Carolina's primary. The author can assume that the "would most likely enjoy to share a beer with" award would strongly favor his camp. Our current president was considered as the victor of this fictional prize in the previous two elections--odd how the individual to share a beer with no longer drinks and, turns out, whether a person my be more appealing to talk to as a friend has no bearing on national policymaking. Good luck Mr. Colbert (on the beer thing).

Apparently, Cee-Lo Green is the Soul Machine and Radiohead is a pretty awesome group of people that also make pretty awesome records.

In a world without cable and very little reception other than the two Spanish and two religious stations on my television, television can be found on the internet. There are new seasons of The Boondocks, Frisky Dingo*, and Metalocalypse on the [adult swim] fix. Also, ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX all have full length shows that can be viewed on demand and with little to no commercials. Comedy central has full lengths of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report and lots of Chapelle's Show clips on the Motherload.

So that's about that. The slump is hitting particularly hard this year and my mind seems to be on quite a few more things than school at the moment. Looks like I have to go get some work done now so until next time...peace.

There must be diamonds somewhere in a place that stinks this bad.
